Prayer at the Center

Hi there! I won’t hold too much of your time today. I just want to point out a few things about prayer.

Did you realize that Jesus doesn't require anything of us that He has never done in prayer? He always leads us by example. Grab your coffee or tea to sip and see below!

Scripture: "But Jesus often withdrew to lonely places and prayed." Luke 5:16

The example for us: He often withdrew to desolate places to pray alone.

Scripture: "Very early in the morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up, left the house and went off to a solitary place, where he prayed." Mark 1:35

The example for us: He prayed before ministering.

Scripture: "One of those days Jesus went out to a mountainside to pray, and spent the night praying to God. When morning came, he called his disciples to him and chose twelve of them, whom he also designated apostles." Luke 6:12-13

The example for us: He prayed for God's will before his crucifixion.

Scripture: "Going a little farther, he fell with his face to the ground and prayed, 'My Father, if it is possible, may this cup be taken from me. Yet not as I will, but as you will.'" Matthew 26:39

The example for us: He prayed when God's will was challenging.

Scripture: “I pray for them. I am not praying for the world, but for those you have given me, for they are yours." John 17:9

The example for us: Jesus prayed for others.

The call to action today is simple - it boils down to 3 things

1.) Put prayer at the center, because Jesus did. 🤎

2.) Carve out time to withdraw and pray.

3.) Intercede regularly for others.

Let prayer permeate your life and shape all your days ahead of you.
